About this role
You'll work as a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist at CHRISTUS SNM Alamogordo, supporting interventional cardiology procedures in a full-time role. This position runs 4 days per week, 10 hours per day, for a 91-day assignment beginning September 21, 2026. You'll earn $3,131 weekly.
Your responsibilities include:
- Prepare and maintain the cardiac catheterization lab environment with strict aseptic technique during all procedures
- Operate and troubleshoot cath lab equipment: fluoro imaging, digital acquisition systems, contrast injectors, hemodynamic monitoring, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), intracardiac echo (ICE), intra-aortic balloon pumps, rotational atherectomy devices, thrombectomy systems, and left ventricular assist devices
- Manage X-Ray equipment as radiation safety representative for patients and staff
- Perform and document ECG recognition during procedures
- Record accurate patient information and hemodynamic measurements
- Anticipate physician needs and support the procedure team while prioritizing patient safety
- Participate in daily room checks, equipment stocking, and departmental coordination with the Cath Lab Lead
Required qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program, associate's degree in a healthcare-related field, or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, AHA only
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, AHA only
- New Mexico state licensure: RRT or FUS by MIRTP NMED
- 0–1 year acute care experience preferred
Preferred certifications: RCIS, RCES, or RCS (CCI); Radiography (R), Cardiac Interventional (CI), Cardiovascular Interventional (CV), or Vascular Interventional (VI) (ARRT); Abdomen (AB) or OB/GYN RDMS (ARDMS); Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) (ARDMS). PALS certification required if working at pediatric facilities.
