Endoscopy Technician Job in Augusta, GA

You will work as an Endoscopy Technician at Wellstar MCG Health in Augusta, GA on a day shift basis. This is a 91-day travel position starting August 18, 2026, with weekly pay of $1,257.

About the Role

You will assist nurses and physicians in providing care for endoscopy patients in a fast-paced GI lab. Your responsibilities include:

• Prepare procedure rooms and sterile fields, gathering required instruments and supplies
• Perform scope reprocessing and demonstrate proficiency in cleaning endoscopes and accessories
• Operate all GI lab equipment and provide technical assistance during procedures, including troubleshooting
• Anticipate the needs of the physician and RN during procedures
• Transport patients and equipment while maintaining supply stock
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of infection control principles and standards

Schedule and Commitment

Day shift with 8 and 10 hour shifts based on unit need. You will be required to work 2–3 weekdays of call per month and maintain a rotating weekend schedule.

Qualifications Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• BLS certification required upon hire
• SGNA GI Tech Specialist certification required within 90 days of hire
• Prior endoscopy experience is not required
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and function in stressful and emergent situations
• Strong detail orientation
