Opportunity:

RN - Open Heart

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts in the CVICU/OH PICU (30-bed unit)
• Every other weekend required with manager/scheduler driven schedule
• Holiday work required as needed with no on-call responsibilities
• 3 years of nursing experience required
• Pediatric cardiovascular experience preferred but adult cardiovascular RN will be considered
• Must have 1 year pediatric CV and 1 year adult CV experience OR 2+ years pediatric/adult CV experience
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Active Arkansas or Compact license required upon submission
• Required certifications: PALS, ACLS, BLS (required prior to start)
• Must test negative for nicotine
• Must pass fit test with no facial hair unless for religious beliefs
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
• Floating required within ICU cluster (NICU, PICU, Burn PICU) - travelers are first to float
• Nurse/patient ratios: 1:1 for ICU, 1:2-3 for intermediate
• Will not be assigned fresh post-op patients due to graduate nurse training program
• Must follow strict unit policy requiring narcotic waste within 2 hours
• 2-3 days of orientation and specialty testing required
• Work with patient population including congenital heart defects, heart failure, cardiac transplant, dysrhythmias
• Use equipment including Pyxis with bar code scanning, GE, Servo, and ECMO
• ECMO experience preferred
• ACH dress code must be followed
