Echo Technologist - Echo Tech
Job Details:
• Work 10-hour rotating day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Rotating schedule includes weekend shifts
• Overnight call shifts from 5:30 PM to 6:30 AM, 2-3 nights per month with strict guidelines and cardiologist approval required to be called in
• 40 hours per week guaranteed
• Perform 7-8 echocardiograms per day in a busy inpatient echocardiography lab
• Minimum 5 years of echocardiography experience required
• At least 2+ years of acute inpatient echo experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility required
• Proficiency in transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs), stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) required
• Appropriate use of 3D echo and strain imaging required
• In-depth knowledge of complex cardiac anatomy and pathology to ensure precise imaging and comprehensive assessments
• Expertise in optimizing image quality through scanning techniques, appropriate equipment settings, and effective use of ultrasound contrast agents
• Ability to efficiently manage high-volume workflows in a critical care environment while maintaining superior diagnostic quality
• Strong time management skills to balance workload and ensure timely completion of studies
• Adherence to ASE (American Society of Echocardiography) and IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission) standards required
• Strict adherence to lab standards and protocols to maintain consistency and diagnostic accuracy
