RN - Infusion

Job Details:

• Work 5 days per week on 8-hour shifts (40-hour work week)
• Variable shift hours: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, or 9:30 AM–6:00 PM depending on staffing needs
• Block scheduling type
• Daytime patient ratio of 1:3
• Care for adults and geriatric patients in a hospital-based outpatient infusion center
• Daily census of 65–75 infusion patients per day across 33 rooms
• Treat patients with diagnoses including solid tumor cancers, lymphomas, chronic leukemia, iron deficiency, myelodysplastic syndrome, and neuro-oncology conditions
• Perform and assist with special procedures including bone marrow aspirations, intravesicular chemotherapy for bladder cancer, and intrathecal chemotherapy
• Operate special equipment including Cyracom interpreter machine, blood warmer, Hoyer lift, vein finder, and ultrasound-guided IV machine
• Utilize Epic EMR system (required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; no first-time travelers
• Previous infusion center and outpatient oncology experience required
• Previous charge RN experience preferred
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ONS/ONCC
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, OCN
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Travelers may be floated to other campuses as needed
• Weekend shifts required as needed but unlikely
