Med Surg RN Job in Lander, WY

As a Med Surg RN, you will deliver direct, individualized nursing care to medical and surgical patients at SH SAGEWEST HEALTH CARE's Riverton campus, applying scientific nursing principles and evidence-based practice standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Prepare and administer medications orally, subcutaneously, and intravenously; record all prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions
• Provide bedside care for medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients
• Perform procedures such as dressing changes, catheter insertion, and IV initiation
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment; interpret and record electronic displays
• Educate patients on surgical procedures and post-treatment home care requirements
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examination and treatment
• Respond to life-saving situations following nursing standards and facility protocol
• Participate in discharge planning with effective time management
• Document all care information accurately and completely in appropriate electronic formats

Required qualifications:

• Current Wyoming RN license
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• PALS certification (American Heart Association)

Position details: This is a 91-day travel assignment working 3x12 night shifts. You will earn $2,233.80 per week.
