CT Technologist Job in Bakersfield, CA

You will work as a CT Technologist in the imaging department at Memorial Hospital - Bakersfield. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $3,168.

Your Role

• Operate Canon 16 slice and Canon 80 slice CT scanners in a 2-scanner department
• Perform 85–100 scans per day, including brain, abdomen, pelvis, spine, biopsies, drainage, extremities, angio, and cryoablation studies
• Work as first-to-float on a 4x10 hour day shift schedule
• Use Radnet EMR and Merge PACS systems for image management
• Chart in the Cerner system

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience
• Current ARRT certification
• Certified CT Technologist (ARRT-CT)
• Fluoroscopy certification
• California CRT licensure
• BLS certification

Schedule and Expectations

• 4x10 hour day shifts; no weekend or call requirements
• Holiday requirement: 1 major and 1 minor holiday
• Department orientation provided by lead technologist or senior techs
• Radiologist available in-house during day shifts and on call after hours

Work Environment

• Teal scrubs required
• IV starts are handled by IR nurses or floor/ED nurses—not your responsibility
• Agency provides film and radiology badge
