Med Surg RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

Mercy Hospital St Louis is seeking a registered nurse for a 91-day travel assignment in medical-surgical neuroscience. You will work the night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, on a 3x12 schedule with rotating weekends and no on-call requirements.

Compensation and Schedule

• Weekly pay: $1,971
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week
• Choice of 36 or 48 guaranteed hours weekly
• Start date: July 6, 2026
• Duration: 91 days

Role Responsibilities

You will provide direct patient care to neurosurgical patients, including those with stroke, seizures, multiple sclerosis, back/head/spinal injuries, and other neurological diagnoses. Your responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process to deliver comprehensive care, coordinating with other departments, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality, and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. You will float as needed within your scope of practice and may be asked to occasionally assume charge responsibilities.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of inpatient acute care experience in medical-surgical and neuroscience nursing
• Current BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• On-site FIT test required
