MRI Technologist Travel Job in South Portland, ME

Join MaineHealth Medical Group in South Portland, Maine as a travel MRI Technologist on a 182-day assignment beginning September 7, 2026. This role offers 36 guaranteed weekly hours on a 4x12 day shift schedule with competitive compensation of $3,120 per week.

Position Overview

You will perform diagnostic MRI imaging in an outpatient setting, working with Philips MR 1.5T and 3T Ingenia or Ambition scanners. You'll float between outpatient facilities without cross-training to other hospital units. Patient assignments are 1:1, and you will always work alongside a tech aide or second technologist—never alone.

Schedule & Hours

• 4x12 day shifts with 36 guaranteed weekly hours
• One weekend shift and one weekend overnight shift per week
• 24 weekend hours included in weekly total
• No on-call requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years MRI experience
• ARRT(MR) or AMRIT certification
• Philips MR experience required
• Experience with anesthesia and ICU patients
• Neuro spine, brain, brain perfusion, and body imaging (abdomen, MRCP, kidney, pelvis)
• Musculoskeletal (MSK) imaging experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience strongly recommended

Not Required

• Maine State MRI licensing
• Breast, cardiac, or prostate imaging experience

Work Environment
