Job Details:

• Work 12.5-hour shifts Thursday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Call requirements to be discussed during interview
• May be required to float to meet organizational needs up to competency level
• May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during scheduling period
• Schedule may vary based on department needs and can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
• Process and prepare multi-specialty and general surgery instrumentation
• Provide quality sterile trays, surgical instruments, packs, and medical supplies
• Clean and decontaminate instruments and trays and perform sterilization of supplies
• Serve as a resource to operating room personnel and assist outside vendors with their instruments and sets
• Monitor need for instruments, implants, and supplies and maintain adequate reserve levels
• Maintain comprehensive quality assurance standards related to sterilization and infection control
• Determine whether processed instrumentation meets stringent criteria for sterility and use in the operating room
• Work in an extremely busy and fast-paced environment
• 2 years of sterile processing technician experience required
• Previous recent travel experience required
• Required certifications: CSPDT or CRCST
• No license required
