ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day or night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• Flex time for call or standby requirements
• Float to ED holds if needed and may also work charge nurse responsibilities
• ED/MedSurg Swing unit with 22 beds
• Patient ratios: 1 to 4 acute, 1 to 6 swing bed, 1 to 4 in the ED
• Titrate drips including common titratable and set rate drips
• Read and interpret telemetry strips as an ED nurse
• Operate respiratory equipment including nebulizers, oxygen (nasal and mask), ventilators (ED and transport only), and CPAP when applicable
• Chart using EPIC electronic health records system
• Any scrub color accepted per dress code policy
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter assignments
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Minimum one year of MedSurg experience required
• BSN not required
