Echo Technologist Job in Gardner, MA

You will work as an Echo Technologist at Heywood Hospital in Gardner, Massachusetts, performing diagnostic cardiac imaging on a days shift. This is a 91-day travel assignment with weekly pay of $2,482.

Your responsibilities include:

• Perform cardiac diagnostic imaging procedures using 2D and Doppler modalities
• Conduct online calculations to quantify cardiac parameters of function and hemodynamics
• Assist cardiologists during transesophageal echocardiograms
• Review patient medical history and direct exams based on clinical information
• Report abnormal findings to cardiologists and take appropriate safeguarding steps
• Operate stress testing equipment and perform 12-lead electrocardiograms as needed
• Work independently while coordinating with healthcare team members
• Maintain current knowledge of cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, arrhythmias, and cardiac medications
• Ensure proper cleaning and disinfection of equipment including ultrasound probes
• Monitor report turnaround times and ensure reports reach appropriate cardiologists

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Echo Technologist with RDCS AE certification for 5 years
• Current ARDMS credential as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) (AE)
• Current BLS certification
• High school diploma or equivalent plus formal training from an accredited medical sonography program specializing in cardiac sonography

Physical demands: You will occasionally lift 20–50 pounds, with frequent reaching and handling of equipment and patients.
