CVOR RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) at Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. This position offers a 4x10 day shift schedule on a varied work pattern with call requirements.

• Assist physicians with advanced cardiovascular surgical procedures, including cardiopulmonary bypass and heart-lung machine management, trans-esophageal echocardiography, cardiac output assistive devices, and vascular access interventions
• Perform and interpret cardiac and vascular laboratory tests
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs, with attention to discharge planning
• Develop individualized care plans using assessment data and multidisciplinary team collaboration
• Provide direct patient care through coordination, delegation, and supervision of healthcare team members
• Document all nursing care activities clearly, timely, and in accordance with organizational policy
• Supervise and provide direction to licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Participate in professional development, education, orientation, and mentoring activities

Requirements: You must hold a current RN license in Arizona and current BLS certification. You need a minimum of one year of RN experience in acute care hospital settings, with experience in the specialty area within the past 12 months. One year of operating room and/or cardiovascular or vascular experience is preferred. New operating room nurses must complete the Perioperative Academy curriculum and Banner RN Perioperative Services Competency Tool within the first year of employment. A bachelor's degree and professional certification are preferred.

This 89-week assignment begins June 29, 2026, with weekly compensation of $2,718.
