About this role

ProMedica Toledo Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 3x12 nights at $1,918.08 weekly, beginning July 7, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide respiratory care across seven adult ICUs (16 beds each), pediatric units, and adult acute care areas. Your responsibilities include managing invasive and non-invasive ventilation, performing airway management, assisting with intubation and extubation, and responding to rapid responses and emergency codes. You will conduct blood gas sampling and analysis, manage bronchopulmonary hygiene, deliver medications, and perform hyperinflation therapy. Patient education on conditions such as asthma, COPD, emphysema, and pneumonia is part of your daily work.

Facility & Schedule

This assignment covers ProMedica's Toledo, Flower, and Bay Park Hospital campuses. Floating within the Metro Region is required as needed, and mid-shift floating may occur to ensure guaranteed hours. You will work with all patient age groups—neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Weekend coverage is required, and you have two pre-approved time-off requests available during your assignment. Thirty-six hours of orientation are provided.

Requirements

  • Current Ohio RRT license (required at time of application)
  • BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (NRP must be obtained prior to start date)
  • Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
  • Comfort working with all patient populations and unit types
  • Ability to float between facilities and accept high-risk training if needed

Equipment & Technical Experience

You will operate Servo I, Avea, and Bella Vista ventilators. You may change tubing and bags for invasive and arterial lines at Toledo and Bay Park campuses. Epic charting experience is preferred. High-risk experience is preferred; if you do not have this background, you must be open to onsite training.

Environment

Scrubs are grey. The unit accepts first-time travelers, making this an excellent opportunity to launch your travel career or expand your clinical experience across multiple care settings.
