ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Expected to work 4 shifts per week
• Every other weekend requirement depending on coverage
• Holiday requirements depend on coverage needs
• Float between 2 critical care and stepdown units (ICU and PCU)
• ICU patient ratios: 2:1 (occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity)
• PCU patient ratios: 4:1
• Care for cardiac patients post CABG or PCI, sepsis, DKA, and respiratory failure patients
• Required to titrate drips including Levophed, amiodarone, heparin, precedex, propofol, cardene, nitro, neosynephrine, and dopamine
• Critical care experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Use Paragon charting system
• New employee orientation first week with orientation shifts on both ICU and PCU
• May float to other departments if necessary
• No call or standby requirements
• BSN not required
