About this role
MetroHealth Main Campus is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 1, 2026. You will work night shifts (24-hour blocks) delivering respiratory therapy services according to provider orders.
Key Requirements:
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; CRT certification is not accepted
- Active Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) license must be in place before your start date
- BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Proficiency with Epic and Pyxis systems; network access required
Your Role:
You will deliver evidence-based respiratory care in a fast-paced hospital setting. Daily tasks include operating respiratory equipment, monitoring patient responses, maintaining detailed documentation, and communicating clinical updates with the care team through face-to-face conversation, phone, email, and other methods as needed.
Physical and Technical Demands:
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently throughout shifts
- May stand or sit for extended periods
- Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Finger dexterity to operate respiratory equipment and office equipment
- Normal vision and hearing (with or without correction) to view monitors and departmental documents
Work Environment:
You will be exposed to communicable diseases, body fluids, and chemicals as part of standard respiratory therapy practice. Appropriate personal protective equipment and infection control protocols are in place.
