ED RN Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as an RN in the 101-bed Emergency Department at Mission Hospital, a Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center in Asheville, NC. This role offers a 3x12 night shift schedule (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) with an every-other-weekend requirement.

Role Responsibilities

• Care for patients in a high-volume ED handling over 100,000 visits annually
• Manage typical patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Work flexibly across all ED areas with no floating outside the department
• Document care using the Cerner system
• Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Update patient boards throughout visits and follow AIDET protocols
• Demonstrate teamwork, provide real-time feedback, and maintain respectful patient experience standards

Required Qualifications

• RN degree
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting
• Current certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• HCA experience preferred
