Description
<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - SICU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• High acuity ICU position with 1:2 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends<br>• Float requirement to other ICUs and SDUs<br>• Weekend coverage required with self-scheduling<br>• 24 hours of orientation provided<br>• Care for adults and geriatrics in 32-bed unit with daily census of 28<br>• Must have 2 years of experience in specialty and travel experience required<br>• Epic experience required<br>• Experience with PA catheters and balloon pumps preferred<br>• CVICU skills: Caring for post-op CABG, valve replacement/repair, aortic dissection, IABP, PA Cath<br>• SICU skills: General post-op care for surgical recovery patients<br>• Transplant Recovery experience required: Liver, heart, lungs, kidney, pancreas<br>• Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy required<br>• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale Certification<br>• Louisiana or Compact license required in hand upon submittal<br>• Must live over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)<br>• May be assigned to "Emergency Team" during emergency events with expectation to remain at facility<br>• No block scheduling requests accepted<br>• No call-ins permitted</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This major medical center operates a comprehensive 32-bed surgical intensive care unit that provides high-acuity care for cardiac surgery patients, transplant patients, general surgery cases, and medicine/cardiac overflow patients. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary services.
