SMH General X-Ray Tech - Weekends

SMH General X - SMH : L1RAD : X-Ray Tech

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Thursday from 10:00 PM to 7:30 AM (36 hours preferred)
• On-call responsibilities with 2-3 call shifts per month
• Must be able to report within 30 minutes for on-call shifts
• Callback and holiday coverage per unit needs
• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Must have NYS license or ability to obtain license prior to starting
• Completion of formal training in approved School of Radiologic Technology required
• Must maintain certification through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience required
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Recent OR experience at a trauma 1 center required
• Experience using c-arm/o-arm within the past 8 months required
• Verify patients' identity and review physicians' orders before procedures
• Use x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of bones, tissues, and organs
• Position patients accordingly, including lifting and moving patients with limited mobility
• Handle all radiologic equipment safely while keeping patient dose as low as possible
• Produce diagnostic, high-quality images for radiologist interpretation
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper image identification
• Ability to stand for extended periods required
