CVOR Technologist

Opportunity:

Certified Surgical Tech - CVOR Tech

Job Details:

• Work 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
• 1-2 on-call nights per week required
• 1-2 24-hour weekend call shifts per schedule
• Float to other departments as needed
• Perform technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients
• Prepare patient skin for surgery in accordance with hospital standards
• Maintain aseptic techniques and actively monitor for potential breaches
• Transport patients to and from the Operating Room suite
• Position patients according to type of surgery
• Prepare Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies
• Establish and maintain sterile field, pass instruments and sutures to physicians
• Ability to proficiently scrub 3 specialty areas including transplants, open heart, urology, neurology, titanium rib, robotics highly preferred
• Use physician preference cards when pulling cases and setting up OR
• Demonstrate clinical expertise in use and care of all surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment
• Adhere to Universal Barrier Precautions and OR sanitation policies
• Required certifications: BLS from AHA, Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN License
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program required
• 2 or more years of experience preferred
