About this role
ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment at CHRISTUS St Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA. You'll work three 12-hour day shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with every other weekend required. This is a full-time position with no on-call responsibilities.
About the Role
You'll provide direct nursing care to cardiac and telemetry patients in a dedicated telemetry unit (not a step-down unit). Your responsibilities include:
- Manage a patient-to-nurse ratio of 5:1 to 6:1 depending on staffing levels
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Assess patients using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Assess patient learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
Requirements
- Active RN license in Louisiana or a compact state
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
What to Expect
You'll complete the organization's New Nurses Orientation within your first 30 days and be precepted by a designated trained staff member during initial onboarding. You'll also complete organizational entry competency validation and specialty-specific competency validation to ensure you're set up for success.
This assignment runs 91 days, starting June 29, 2026. You'll earn $2,312.64 weekly. A temp-to-perm conversion opportunity is available for the right candidate.
