RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Some early shifts available from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM (or until structural heart procedures are completed)
• One of the 4 days will be designated as a late shift to complete the last patient of the day
• Call requirement: 1 night per week
• Weekend requirement: 1 weekend every other month
• Float requirement: as needed
• Self-scheduling type
• 24-hour unit orientation required
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must be proficient in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Experience with cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, and Impella insertion required
• Skills needed include IV infusion pumps, starting and maintaining IVs, cardioversion, and sheath removal/monitoring
• Knowledge of emergency medications, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and thrombolytics required
• Must be comfortable with procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Unit systems include Pyxis, MAC LAB, CUPID, EPIC, and SBAR
• Daily census of 30 patients with 30 visits per day in 5 rooms
• Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics
• Interview required before offer - must provide availability for next 72 hours when submitting
• Must complete lab work within 48 hours after signing
• NC or Compact license required (pending acceptable for submission)
• Must be open to floating within/near facility as needed
