Physical Therapist Job in Northridge, CA

You will work as a Physical Therapist at Northridge Hospital Medical Center in Northridge, California. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning May 5, 2026.

Schedule and Hours

• 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• Possible schedules include Wednesday–Sunday or Thursday–Monday based on facility needs
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
• No holiday work required

Clinical Responsibilities

• Treat up to 9 patients per day in outpatient setting or up to 13 patients per day in inpatient setting
• Work with patients presenting orthopedic, post-surgical, neurological, trauma, cardiac, and medical-surgical conditions
• Handle both inpatient and outpatient cases depending on assignment
• Cover assigned area and potentially float to other areas as needed
• Work with rehabilitation aides who assist in therapy sessions

Requirements

• Valid California Physical Therapist license
• BLS certification
• One year of experience or more required; travel experience preferred
• Trauma experience preferred

Onboarding and Systems

• Receive 1.5 days of department-specific orientation including Cerner training if needed
• Work with electronic medical records using Cerner Powerchart system

Dress Code

• Maroon polo shirt and dark-colored pants with closed-toe shoes
• Lab coat optional

Weekly pay is $2,657.20. You will be part of a hospital-based rehabilitation team treating a diverse patient population across multiple care settings.
