ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with 3x12 mid/night rotation shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed
• Must submit RTO/block and special scheduling requests upon submission
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Active New York single state RN license required (NY is not Compact)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Patient ratio of 1:5 serving adults and geriatrics with all emergency type diagnoses
• Required clinical skills include IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with IV vasopressors, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilator management required
• Experience with CVA/stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury required
• Cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Emergency care experience including adult/pediatric ED, gunshot wounds, and orthopedic trauma required
• Triage experience and isolation precaution knowledge required
• Special equipment includes Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment
• Scrub color: any combination of navy blue and white
• Floating within skillset will be required
• Candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
