RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 13-week contract position
• 48 hours per week guaranteed
• Day shifts or day/night rotating schedule only - no straight night shifts available
• Work in a 21-bed Med-Surg Neuro unit
• On-call responsibilities required
• Care for patients with medical neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, and traumatic brain injuries
• Provide care for spinal cord injury patients
• Support surgical patients including tumor resections (brain and spine), spinal surgery, and head and neck cancer procedures
• Work within a Level IV Epilepsy Center utilizing implanted electrodes and scalp leads
• Serve patients of a Primary Stroke Center
• Required experience with chest tubes
• Required experience with drips including Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone
• Required experience with lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients
• Required experience with trachs and laryngectomies
• Required experience with telemetry monitoring
• Required experience managing complex wounds
• Required experience with central line care, maintenance, and blood draws
