PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
• Contract length of 10 weeks
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Low census eligible in hour increments as needed, typically in 4-hour increments
• 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit with fast-paced, high patient turnover
• Patient ratio typically 1:4
• Care for post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, acute CP/MI, and med/surg overflow patients including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure, and Fem Pop Bypass
• Must have 1 year of strong cardiac experience in Cardiac SDU, Intermediate Cardiac, or Cardiac ICU
• Minimum 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips required
• At least one prior travel assignment required
• Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC charting experience required
• Must be able to pass EKG test during the first week of hire
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
