Physical Therapist Job in Red Bluff, CA

You'll work as a Physical Therapist at St Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff, California, serving patients across Tehama County. This is a Monday–Friday position with 8-hour day shifts, no weekends, no holidays, and no on-call responsibilities.

Your Role

You'll conduct an average of 5 patient visits per day, with approximately 40 miles of daily travel within the service area. Your responsibilities include performing start-of-care visits, particularly with orthopedic patients when nursing is not ordered. You'll work with diverse patient populations, including those recovering from orthopedic procedures and joint replacements, geriatric patients with multiple comorbidities, CHF, and COPD.

Work Environment

You'll work alongside an intake RN and manager in an office setting. The program manages an average daily census of 78 patients with growth potential based on PT availability. You'll use the HCHB—HomeCare HomeBase EMR system on a provided tablet for documentation and care coordination.

Requirements

• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Home Health experience preferred; candidates with less than 2 years of clinical experience will be considered if they have Home Health background

Assignment Details

• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: May 4, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,482
• Shift: 5x8 days (Monday–Friday)
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts for assignments under 13 weeks
