Pen Bay Medical Center is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department in Rockport, Maine. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting June 14, 2026, offering 36 guaranteed hours per week at $2,444.04 weekly pay.

Position Overview

You will work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with some evening shifts included. Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required. There are no call requirements, and you will not float to other units. Patient ratios range from 4:1 to 5:1, allowing you to deliver focused emergency care in a structured environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including behavioral health and medical/psych swing bed patients
  • Work in the locked behavioral health unit when assigned
  • Use the EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation
  • Operate standard emergency care equipment
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams using team-based care approaches
  • Maintain excellent communication and documentation skills while adapting to workflow changes due to ongoing facility construction

Requirements

  • Current RN license
  • 2 to 5 years of Emergency Department or Critical Care experience
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
  • Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) and NISHH certifications
  • Completion of required education modules through the facility education department

Work Environment

Pen Bay Medical Center is a Joint Commission Certified Stroke Center. You will work in a professional environment with scrub dress code requirements (any solid color with professional attire standards). The facility is undergoing construction, and flexibility in adapting to workflow changes is essential.
