ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Work in 20-bed intensive care unit with 2:1 patient ratio, with 1:1 ratios for higher acuity patients
• Care for diverse patient population including neuro patients with brain drains, ortho trauma requiring traction, and cardiovascular patients
• Manage specialized cardiovascular devices including balloon pumps, impellas, and ekos
• Provide care for post-operative open-heart CABG patients
• Handle open abdomen cases from OR that may be re-opened at bedside
• Operate CRRT machines at bedside for renal patients
• Future involvement with ECMO program planned to start this summer
• Experience in ICUs or STICUs at level 1-2 trauma centers preferred
• Care for medical ICU overflow patients when sister units are at capacity
• Use MEDITECH charting system
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Must work within strict 75-mile radius restriction
• Cancellation policy allows 12 hours every 2 weeks
