Description
<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - PCU Stepdown</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM<br>• Every other weekend and every other holiday requirement<br>• Nurse to patient ratios of 1:4-5, occasionally 5-6 on nights, with PCU level care overflow at 1:3<br>• Must have PCU experience and ability to read cardiac strips<br>• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS<br>• Care for adults and geriatrics with conditions including cardiac caths, EP studies, pacers, ETOH, COVID BiPap, general surgical with heart history, pneumonia, acute on chronic conditions, influenza, and sepsis<br>• Required to titrate drips including Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, and low dose Dopamine<br>• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips independently<br>• Floating requirements to all areas as helping hands, PCU for full patient load, MS for full assignment, and some ER holds/boarding<br>• Any color scrubs permitted<br>• Two 12-hour shifts of unit-specific orientation (Friday and Saturday of first week)<br>• Epic charting system experience preferred<br>• 32-bed unit with telemetry monitoring and respiratory equipment including BiPap, trachs, and Airvo<br>• First travelers accepted<br>• 50-mile radius rule applies</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical center with a Level 2 trauma designation, providing acute care services to the community.
