Operating Room RN Job in Waterloo, IA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center. This is a 97-week travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026, with a schedule of 5x8-hour day shifts.

Schedule & Hours:

• 36-hour shifts available from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM or 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• 40-hour shifts available from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Weekend call approximately every 4th–5th weekend
• Weeknight call approximately every 1–2 weeks
• Holiday call rotation required

Your Role:

• Provide direct patient care in surgical settings
• Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies during surgery
• Maintain sterile environment and ensure proper equipment functionality
• Be available for call coverage responsibilities

Requirements:

• Operating room nursing experience required
• Current RN license
• Ability to manage call coverage obligations

Compensation:

You will earn $2,602.60 per week.
