<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Med Surg</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work in 15-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility on 3S floor<br>• Patient ratios of 5:1, maximum 6:1<br>• Day shift staffing: 1 charge nurse (takes full patient load), 2 RNs, 1 CNA<br>• Night shift staffing: 1 charge nurse (takes full patient load), 2 RNs, 1 CNA<br>• Every other weekend and holiday schedule required<br>• On-call seldom required, only when overall hospital census is low<br>• Work with equipment including VS machines, transfer equipment (hoyer lift, sliding boards), EKG, bladder scanner<br>• Use Meditech EMR system and Pyxis medication dispensing<br>• Perform patient transfers, bladder scans, dressing changes, and medication administration<br>• Conduct bedside report/handoff and hourly rounding<br>• Ensure bed alarm activation for patient safety<br>• Float to Med-Surg, Tele, Renal, Urology, Orthopedic, and overflow units between hospitals (excludes ICU)<br>• Transfer training and EMR proficiency required<br>• Rehabilitation experience and rehab scoring documentation preferred<br>• Required certifications: BLS and RN licensure<br>• Must demonstrate teamwork and initiative</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This medical center operates a specialized inpatient rehabilitation facility that provides comprehensive care for patients recovering from various medical conditions.
