Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work night shifts on a 17-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with 1:4 patient ratio
• Available for 36 or 48 hours per week for 13-week assignment
• Every other weekend schedule required (block scheduling cannot be guaranteed)
• Care for patients from Emergency Department, Medical ICU, clinics, outside hospitals, and nursing facilities
• Treat wide range of medical diagnoses including diabetes, sickle cell crisis, COPD exacerbations, ESRD with pulmonary hypertension, wounds, drains, and tubes
• Must have Epic charting system experience
• BLS required, ACLS preferred
• Must adhere to facility float policy within scope of practice
• BSN preferred
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Must be comfortable with patient ratio of 5
• Virginia license accepted pending but must be in-hand by Wednesday before start date
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• Up to 40 hours of time off guaranteed per contract
• Unable to approve time off for Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day
• References required
• Nursys verification required for submittal
