Med Surg RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

You will provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical neuro unit at Mercy Hospital South in Saint Louis, MO. This is a 13-week travel assignment working day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3x12 day shifts (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM)
• 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week (to be confirmed on submission)
• $1,971 weekly pay
• Every other weekend hours required as needed by facility
• No call requirements
• One full week of orientation (day shift schedule)

Your Role

You will deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients across all age groups, including those recovering from trauma, surgical procedures, and managing medical comorbidities. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will coordinate with ancillary departments and float to similar or lower acuity units as needed.

Requirements

• Current RN license (must meet Missouri licensure criteria or be currently licensed in Missouri)
• 1 year medical-surgical inpatient experience
• 1 year neuro experience preferred
• BLS from AHA required
• ACLS from AHA preferred

Physical Demands

You will stand and walk most of your shift, lift and turn patients with assistance, and push/pull up to 50 lbs. High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids is expected.

Work Environment

You will work with the EPIC electronic medical record system. Black scrubs are required; no other colors are acceptable.
