PICU RN Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as an RN in a 9-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of January 16, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 3x12 nights per week, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 3 weekends required within a 6-week schedule
• Self-scheduling available

Patient Care Details

• Patient ratios: 1 RN to 1–2 patients in PICU, 1 RN to 2–3 patients in stepdown care
• Possible float assignments to Pediatrics and NICU units
• Unit secretary available 9 AM to 9 PM; shared technician support

Clinical Responsibilities

You'll perform IV starts, catheter insertions, assist with lumbar punctures, manage central line dressing changes, monitor hemodynamics, provide tracheostomy care, manage tube feeding and placement, monitor ICP, and oversee ventilator management. You'll use Alaris pumps for medication administration and the Cerner documentation system.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year PICU experience
• PALS certification required

All navy, all white, or navy pants with white tops.

Compensation

Weekly pay of $2,233.80.
