Occupational Therapist Job in Syracuse, NY

SUNY Upstate University Hospital – Downtown Campus is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment. You will provide occupational therapy services in an acute care outpatient setting, working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with one weekend per month required.

Your Responsibilities

• Administer occupational therapy as prescribed by the physician
• Evaluate patients and determine specific treatment goals through consultation
• Complete process record keeping and related documentation
• Attend designated clinics, rounds, and conferences
• Interact with patient families to support treatment planning
• Maintain equipment and supplies
• May participate in educational programs for staff

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
• New York State licensure or eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of occupational therapy experience
• Acute care experience required (not acute inpatient rehab)
• Outpatient experience required
• Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Neuro/concussion outpatient experience
