About this role
ADEX Healthcare Staffing is recruiting a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at MUSC Health Orangeburg. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning May 19, 2026.
Position Overview
You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with an every-other-weekend requirement. You'll care for patients across all age groups—neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics—in a 37-room emergency department that handles approximately 130 visits daily. Patient ratios are based on acuity, and you may float to meet the facility and department needs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care and triage in a high-volume ED setting
- Float between departments as needed to support operational demands
- Participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
- Work with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response, pharmacy, and unit secretaries
Requirements
- Current RN license (South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact)
- Minimum 2 years of experience; first-time ED nurses with emergency room experience are welcome
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS (American Heart Association only) certifications required
- Epic electronic health record experience required
- Preferred certifications: CPI and TNCC
Additional Information
You will wear royal blue scrubs. The facility may call off one shift per two weeks. You must complete non-billable orientation modules averaging 4 hours before your start date. You are expected to be available for emergency response support during hurricane season.
Compensation & Details
Weekly pay: $1,892.16. This position requires a South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
