PCU RN Job in Morgantown, WV

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the 32-bed Progressive Care Unit at WVU JW Ruby Memorial Hospital, caring for post-surgical Thoracic and Medicine patients. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting June 29, 2026, with three 12-hour night shifts per week at $2,358.72 weekly pay.

Your Schedule

• 3x12 night shifts per week
• Weekends and holidays as scheduled, with a requirement of 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week cycle
• No on-call or standby requirements
• Floating is very rare
• 2 shifts per 13-week contract may be canceled

Your Role

You'll provide care with a patient ratio of 1:3 for stepdown assignments and 1:4 for combo assignments. Your responsibilities include titrating drips with specific MD parameters (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Nitro, Esmolol, Heparin, and Lasix—no vasopressors), interpreting and charting patient rhythm with assessment every 4 hours or more frequently during medication titration, and managing patients on BiPap and tracheostomy support. This unit does not have ventilators.

Requirements

• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Strong Med-Surg stepdown experience with ability to titrate drips and read strips
• BiPap and trach experience required
• Valid driver's license with address outside 50 miles from the facility
• BSN not required

Support and Resources

• 3 shifts of unit orientation
• 3–4 CNAs per shift available for support
• 1 Charge Nurse and 3 House Supervisors in-house at all times
• Centralized telemetry monitoring available at the nurse station and in patient rooms
• Charting via EPIC
