Job Details:

• Provide nursing care in a hospital setting for patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Preop/PACU experience preferred
• Must have excellent IV skills and ability to instill prescribed pupil-dilating drops
• Conduct patient interviews and assessments
• Must be able to recover phase 1 PACU patients, manage airways, and manage pain or nausea
• Care for patients aged 6 months to 95 years
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, current RN License issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact RN License (eNLC), current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
• Familiarity with surgical eye cases strongly preferred (cataracts, cornea, retina, glaucoma, plastics)
• Must maintain fast pace and embrace teamwork
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with family and patients regarding care plans and discharge instructions
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
