Job Details:

• Night shift position working 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Schedule includes Saturday and Sunday nights plus one additional rotating night shift per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday and weekend availability required
• Minimum 2 years of EEG experience required
• Graduate of a CAAHEP Accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology Program preferred
• Documentation of 50 EEGs post-graduation preferred
• BLS certification required upon hire (AHA, ARC, or BLS-I accepted)
• REEG.T certification required within 2 years of hire
• Perform EEGs in the laboratory setting and at patient bedside with little to no supervision
• Perform video/EEG monitoring and ambulatory monitoring
• Identify and perform basic and intermediate technical troubleshooting and artifact identification and elimination
• Apply knowledge of alternate montages, protocols, and equipment settings
• Use photic stimulation and hyperventilation appropriately
• Repair or replace electrodes as needed and clean up patients after EEG procedures
• Complete technical EEG reports, charging procedures, and patient file logging
• Recognize clinically significant events and intervene when appropriate
• Maintain patient safety and communicate with patient care support staff during EEGs
• Stock supplies and prepare patient rooms for EEG procedures
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written required
• Proficiency in PC and Microsoft Windows applications required
• Must adhere to departmental dress code policy including wearing and displaying ID badge appropriately
• High School Diploma or GED required
