Endoscopy Registered Nurse

Job Details:

• Work with outpatients and inpatients at both campuses
• Take calls for endoscopy procedures
• Day/evening shift options: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (variable)
• Take call as needed, usually once a week and every 6th weekend
• Ability to switch call coverage with team members when coordinated with providers and unit
• OR nurse experience with endoscopy training/experience preferred or sole focus on endoscopy
• Perform ongoing and systematic patient assessments focusing on physiological, psychological and cognitive status
• Analyze assessment data to determine appropriate nursing diagnoses
• Formulate goal-directed care plans based on nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes
• Implement care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent and continuous manner
• Perform timely, accurate and concise documentation duties
• Function efficiently in emergency patient situations following established protocols
• Incorporate hourly rounding into daily practice
• Collaborate with patients, families and healthcare providers in providing patient care
• Demonstrate effective communication methods and skills
