Physical Therapist Assistant

Opportunity:

PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant Rehab Inpatient

Job Details:

• Work primarily on Inpatient Rehab Facility (IRF) with support to acute care hospital department as needed
• Must be willing to float between units
• Set schedule that rotates every 4 weeks
• Every other weekend coverage required
• 32 hours of orientation provided
• 2 years of experience required for submission
• PTA certification must be in hand at time of submission
• Strong neuro and patient management skills required
• Acute care and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, PTA
• Must be competent in treating patients 15-104 years of age
• Treat patients with neurological impairments (CVA, SCI, BI), neurological diseases (Parkinson's, MS, GBS, myasthenia gravis), cardiac disability, orthopedic injuries, and medically complex patients
• Work with specialty equipment including slide boards, Hoyer lifts, specialty beds, and various mobility aids
• Patient care includes gait training, transfer training, patient/family education, and home exercise program development
