Certified Surgical Technologist Job in Boston, MA

Tufts Medical Center in Boston is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work 3x12-hour day shifts plus call responsibilities in a 23-room operating room within a Level 1 trauma center and academic medical setting.

Schedule & Expectations

• 3x12-hour shifts per day as your primary schedule
• Weekend rotation required once per month with 12-hour shifts
• May rotate into 8-hour weekday shifts
• Call coverage: same amount as permanent staff, including neuro/ortho call with 3 weekdays per month (evenings or nights) plus weekend rotation
• Call begins at the end of shift for shifts ending at 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM

Clinical Role

• Support 50–70 total cases per day in a busy academic OR environment
• Handle diverse surgical procedures: general, laparoscopic, robotic, orthopedic, neurological, eye, and ENT
• Manage trauma cases in a Level 1 trauma center
• Demonstrate wide-range surgical skills across multiple specialties
• Document in EPIC charting system

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA
• BLS Certification
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Meet Massachusetts state requirements for Surgical Techs: graduation from a nationally accredited surgical technology program AND active certification from NBSTSA, NCCT (CAAHEP-verified), military surgical technology program, or employment as a surgical technician on or before 7/1/2013
