Opportunity:

RN - Observation Unit

Job Details:

• Work rotating shift schedules covering days, evenings, and nights
• On-call, call back, charge, holiday, and weekend availability required as needed
• Care for adult patients in a fast-paced observation unit that turns over 20 to 27 patients per day
• Manage patients with an average length of stay of 27 hours
• Care for a diverse adult population including both emergency observation and admitted boarding patients
• Patients will range from short stay to full admissions
• Work in a unit with 24/7 provider coverage
• Determine if patients' conditions require hospital admission or if they can be safely treated and released
• Minimum two years of Med/Surg experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• New York RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only), ACLS (AHA only), NIHSS
