Med Surg RN Job in Albany, GA

You'll join Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse on the 2C Observation Unit, a 22-bed medical surgical telemetry floor. This is a full-time travel position offering 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) with every other weekend rotation.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care to medical observation patients with miscellaneous diagnoses
• Manage patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 with charge nurse support in staffing
• Perform your own EKGs and draw your own labs
• Handle titratable medications including heparin drips
• Work on a heavy telemetry unit with central monitoring
• Float to other medical surgical units as needed
• Navigate a fast-paced environment with high turnover, handling up to 16 discharges per day with unit refills

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification (ACLS highly recommended but not required)
• Residence within 75-mile radius of facility
