ICU Registered Nurse Job in Roanoke, VA

You'll work as a registered nurse in the ICU at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting May 11, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM)
• Weekly pay: $2,142
• Weekend requirement: either every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week block
• One holiday per 13-week contract
• Facility may call off one shift per 2-week period

Your Role

You'll float between ICU and PCU units as needed, with assignments evaluated every 4 hours. You may float 2–3 times per shift. Patient ratios are 2:1 in the ICU and 5:1 in the PCU. You'll care for adult and geriatric patients.

Clinical Responsibilities

You must be comfortable with IV therapy, arterial line management, central and PICC line care, blood product administration, respiratory support including BiPAP and CPAP, ventilated patient care, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, cardiac drip titration, wound care, and cardiac monitoring.

Requirements

• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• 2+ years of nursing experience preferred
• ICU experience required
• Large Level 1 or Level 2 facility experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
