Telemetry RN Job in Alexandria, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment at CHRISTUS St Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA. You'll work three 12-hour day shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on the Telemetry unit, with every other weekend required. This is a full-time position with no on-call requirements.

Your Role

You will provide routine and complex nursing care to cardiac and telemetry patients in a dedicated unit (not a step-down setting). You'll practice independently while utilizing the full nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Your responsibilities include:

• Monitor and care for patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1 depending on staffing levels
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess patient and family learning needs and provide education
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed

Requirements

• Current RN license in Louisiana or compact state
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Compensation and Benefits

You'll earn $2,312.64 per week. A temp-to-perm opportunity is available for the right candidate.
