Wound Care RN Job in State College, PA

Mount Nittany Health is seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in wound care to join the inpatient team on a day shift basis. You will serve as a clinical consultant across the facility, supporting staff and patients with skin prevention, wound management, ostomy care, and continence needs.

Your Role:

• Function as a wound care consultant to nursing staff, patients, and interdisciplinary team members
• Provide expert guidance on skin prevention strategies and wound assessment
• Support ostomy and continence care management for inpatient populations
• Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and clinical staff
• Communicate professionally using verbal, non-verbal, and written methods
• Demonstrate emotional resilience, tact, and sound judgment in all patient interactions

Requirements:

• Current RN licensure in the State of Pennsylvania
• Board certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOCN) nursing
• Minimum of 3 years full-time professional nursing experience with medical-surgical patients
• Current BLS certification meeting American Heart Association Healthcare Provider standards
• High school diploma or equivalent
