About this role
Alaska Native Medical Center is seeking an EEG Technician for a 91-day travel assignment in Anchorage, Alaska. You will work 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts during daytime hours, earning $1,998 weekly.
Role Overview
You will perform electroencephalography (EEG) and electromyography (EMG) services for patients across all age groups, from infants through geriatrics. With an average daily census of 4 patients and 4 visits per day, you will manage electrode placement, conduct sleep-deprived and sleep EEG studies, and assist with nerve conduction studies in an outpatient care setting. Documentation occurs within NeuroWorkbench and Cerner systems; Epic experience is preferred.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of EEG or related diagnostic experience; first-time travelers are accepted
- ABRET license (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- R.EEGT. certification (required)
- Dual certification in EEG/EMG preferred; R.NCS.T. certification preferred
- Candidates with R.EEGT certification and minimum 1 year performing Nerve Conduction Studies will be considered
Skills and Experience
You should have demonstrated competency in adult outpatient care, electrode placement techniques, EMG/Nerve Conduction Study assistance, and interpretation protocols for sleep studies. You will complete a 40-hour onsite orientation to familiarize yourself with facility protocols and systems.
Assignment Details
This position begins October 19, 2026, and runs for 91 days. You must reside a minimum of 100 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible. Alaska Native Medical Center is a full-service tertiary care facility serving the Alaska Native and Alaska resident populations.
