Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend rotation and holidays as needed
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with cardiac PCU experience mandatory
• Must be comfortable with 1:5 patient ratios (1:4 with drips/bipap)
• First time travelers accepted
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIH preferred
• EPIC experience required
• Must pass mandatory EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Staff scheduled for 6-week periods via self-assisted schedule through Optilink
• May be required to float to any campus if needed
• Care for cardiac patients including CHF, Acute Coronary Syndrome, arrhythmias, pre/post cardiac catheterization
• Secondary focus on respiratory problems such as COPD, pneumonia, and BiPap
• Work with cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, chest tubes, BiPap/CPAP, and tracheostomy management
• Utilize rapid response teams and work with nurse assistants and unit secretary support
